Mirror is an object that works together with the Mirror iOS app. One tap of your iPhone locks the apps that distract you, and a scan of Mirror unlocks them again. Not another strict rule or setting you’ll just dismiss anyway, but a deliberate gesture: to get your apps back, you walk back to Mirror.
How it works
- In the Mirror app, choose which apps distract you, such as social media, news or games.
- Tap your iPhone against Mirror. The selected apps are locked instantly.
- Return to Mirror and tap again to unlock them.

Where does Mirror come from?
Mirror comes from Breda. We work on more calm in a world full of screens, and we believe in local: Mirror is designed and made in the Netherlands, with Dutch suppliers.
How does Mirror work?
Mirror is an NFC object that works with the Mirror app for iPhone. Tap your phone against Mirror to close the apps that distract you, and tap again to open them. Focus becomes a deliberate gesture instead of yet another setting deep inside your phone.
Which apps can I block?
Any app on your phone, you choose. Most people start with social media and messaging, and adjust once they notice what really pulls at their attention.
What if I need to unlock in an emergency?
The app has a small number of emergency unlocks, so you are never truly stuck. That number is deliberately small: they stay for emergencies and never become a daily way out.
Can I return Mirror?
Yes. Within the EU you can return Mirror within 14 days of receiving it, in its original condition, and you get your money back. Everything is in our refund policy.
